News Home Inspectors Can Use: April 2013

Here’s what’s going on in the near future for home inspectors: 

 

* Head south to the TAREI 2013 spring conference April 12 through 13 in San Antonio, Texas. Featuring workshops on septic inspections, commercial building inspections, solar panels, tile roofing, drywall and everything in between, this conference is a must for anyone in the real estate fields.

 

* Vegas baby! Or the next best thing.  The 2013 Atlantic City “Get Certified” Inspection conference hits shores April 22 through 24 (Certification classes run through the 26th). Classes range from infrared training to plumbing safety to water intrusion forensic investigations. A full list is available here.

 

* If you’re aim is for Vegas, we can give you the next closest thing. The American Institute of Inspectors kicks off their spring conference in Reno April 19 through 21. A full schedule is available online right over here.

 

* Looking even further ahead, the ACI Home Energy Leadership Summit is scheduled for April 29 through 30 in Denver, Colorado.

News Home Inspectors Can Use: March 2013

Here’s what’s going on in the near future for home inspectors: 

* Last chance to sign up for the RESNET Building Performance Conference which kicks off tomorrow through March 1 in Orlando, Florida. Sessions range from workshops on how to triage energy concerns in a home to a crash course on energy auditing swimming pools. Those seeking BPI continuing education credits can check out the list of available classes right over here.

 

* Can’t make it to RESNET or just want to hang around Florida for a bit longer? The Florida Association of Building Inspectors’ spring conference will also be held in Orlando March 8 through 10. The Kentucky Real Estate Inspectors Association conference will be held in Frankfort, KY that same weekend.

 

* If you’d like to present at Inspection World next year, now is the time to get your materials together. Proposals for seminars and workshops will be accepted through March 15.

 

* West Coasters in the home energy field may consider attending the Better Living Home, Garden and Lifestyle show in Portland, Oregon March 22 through 24. Though this show has a holistic sustainable living focus, it could be a good opportunity to network with others in the environmentally-conscious fields.

Here’s what’s going on in the near future:

 

* To those in our Tap Inspect family who were affected by Superstorm Sandy, we hope that you’re safe and steadily getting back on your feet. If you need some extra assistance, we’ve compiled this list of resources for home inspectors who were victims of natural disaster.

 

* December’s also packed with home inspector events. December 4 through 6, the Triple Play REALTOR Convention and Trade Expo lands in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Registration information is available right over here. Those in the home energy fields can also get their kicks by heading south. The POWER-GEN International conference will be in Orlando, Florida from December 11 through 13. Careful kids, this one is pricey.

 

* Tired of hearing about Inspection World in our newsletter yet? Well, you’ve only got a month or two left. The grandaddy of home inspection conferences kicks off in Las Vegas January 13 through 16, 2013 and will feature 45 continuing education courses and more than 70 vendors. ASHI has also scored a sweet hotel deal with Bally’s to lighten the costs a bit.

News Home Inspectors Can Use: November 2012 Edition

* November starts with a bang as the American Institute of Inspectors annual home inspection conference hits Portland, Oregon November 2 through 4. A full conference schedule is available here and you can register right over here.

 

* ASHI ramps up this fall with a boatload of seminars. The Mid-Missouri chapter holds their fall seminar November 2 (call for details, the web site is under construction), the Keystone East-Central Pennsylvania chapter holds theirs November 9 through 10 and the St. Louis ASHI chapter hosts theirs November 9.

 

* Those who crave a warmer climate can head to the Florida Association of Building Inspectors’ conference November 30 through December 2 in Daytona Beach. Hotel reservations at The Shores Resort and Spa should be made by November 7. Early registration for the conference ends November 23.

 

* This month, the Inspection Marketing Tour continues its worldwide tour, hitting up Orlando, Tampa, Denver and Salt Lake City this month. The $99 entry fee buys you $99 worth of home inspection products or InterNACHI membership fees. Fort Myers and Miami dates have already been canceled so stay tuned to the web site for info on further cancelations and date changes.

 

* The event is months away, but it’s worth nothing that early bird registration for Inspection World ends November 30.
