New: Job Attachments — Share Everything Your Clients Need in One Place
You can add Job Attachments to any Tap Inspect job and make those files available right inside the client portal. No extra emails, no hunting through threads—just a clean, centralized place for reports and supporting documents.
What you can share
Use Job Attachments to deliver the extras that complete your inspection package, like:
- Third-party PDFs (radon or lab results, WDI/pest reports)
- Short videos (sewer scope, drone footage, issue walk-throughs)
- Other helpful docs (spreadsheets, instructions, checklists)
Most common file types are supported; individual files can be up to 25 MB.
Where clients see them
Once you share the job’s results, attachments appear in the Attachments section of the client portal alongside reports—so clients and agents can open or download them when they need to.
Notify people when you add something later
If you add an attachment after sharing results, Tap Inspect gives you the option to send the New Attachment Added message so everyone with access gets a heads-up. You control that message in Messaging settings.
How to add a Job Attachment (takes a minute)
- Sign in to your web account
- Open the job and go to the Schedule tab
- Click Add Attachment
- Give it a Title and optional Description
- Choose the file and Save
You can modify or trash an attachment later from the attachment’s action menu.
Job Attachments vs. File Attachments (what’s the difference?)
- Job Attachments: Added to a specific job. Great for radon results, a sewer-scope video, or anything unique to that appointment.
- File Attachments: Added once in Settings and shown on every job’s client portal (think Standards of Practice, maintenance guide, coupons, etc.).
Why this matters
- Fewer emails: Everything lives with the job
- Clearer client experience: Reports + attachments in one portal
- Professional polish: Consistent delivery every time
